After the lockdown,
the market has slowed down, there is retardation all around, but then the
Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is seeking to speed up the construction
& expansion work. Government is keen with the GDA to connect Noida and
Ghaziabad to the metro directly. Proposals to bring the metro up to Sector-62
in Noida to Mohan Nagar via Indirapuram and connect Vaishali Metro with this
route, the Government have shared a specific timeline to DMRC.
According to the
DPR, the project will cost Rs 3325.22 crore. In the funding pattern offered by
GDA for this project, a contribution of Rs 1662.62 crore has been demanded from
the State Government. The project entails a grant of Rs 462.93 crore from the
central government and Rs 387.71 crore from DMRC for moving stock. This metro
plan will provide immediate connectivity to passengers from Sahibabad,
Vasundhara and Indirapuram to Noida. Noida will then become a central point from
where commuters will be able to reach Metro services to Delhi, Faridabad,
Gurgaon and Ghaziabad. This connectivity push will give a significant boost to
real estate growth in the region.
This will be a
booster for the commutation to Ghaziabad city, Rajnagar Extension & many
other prime locations of Ghaziabad which can connect to Noida. The people who
are staying in Ghaziabad will make a smooth move to the corporate sectors,
businesses, organisations in Noida, Noida being a corporate hub. In the coming
years, this will surely boost the residential requirements where people are
already shifting close to the workplace because of the pandemic hit, & will
